MDGs and EU

The United Nations Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and the EU social agenda represent two complementary platforms with the common aim of eradicating poverty and social exclusion. The Millennium Declaration signed by world leaders in the year 2000 represents a global political agenda for reducing poverty in the long run. Its eight Goals create a set of national commitments towards each county’s development priorities
